Sri Lanka’s national parks are functioning wild ecosystems – the animals here behave accordingly, which is precisely what makes encounters different from managed reserves. All safaris run in private open 4WD jeeps with specialist naturalists whose knowledge extends well beyond species identification into the territory patterns and ecological context that transforms sightings into genuine understanding.
